The USS Constitution is an American three-mast frigate with an oak hull. It's the oldest sailing and active service ship in the world. Her name commemorates the United States Constitution. The ship won its greatest glory during the war in 1812. The constitution's crew defeated four British frigates during three separate engagements. She earned then a pseudonym 'old Ironsides' Because the fire from enemy ships could not penetrate her oak hull.
