Detection levels ranges from 0% to 20% of LEL for multiple combustible gases including methane, propane, butane, coal gas, town gas, LPG Liquid Petroleum Gas, LNG Liquid Natural Gas.

Testing/Tips
-On receipt and every couple weeks, test your detector with propane or unlit butane from a cigarette lighter.
-Place alarm near ceiling for natural gas or other buoyant gases and near floor for propane, butane.
-See the displayed gas levels in % LEL go up before the alarm sounds at 5% LEL, with 100% LEL being the minimum gas concentration for fires/explosions. Push center button for gas levels.
-Item undergoes self-test sequence on startup.

Avoid placement in close proximity to where airborne contaminants like cooking oils can coat and decrease sensor sensitivity. As the filament sensor is fragile and can be easily damaged in transit, please email EG Air and we will make things right.
