There are few things more irritating than hitting the trail and listening to the squeak of a press-fit bottom bracket. Fortunately, Park Tool has a safe guard to minimize the creaks with the Green Press Fit Retaining Compound. The Press Fit Retaining Compound works by filling gaps and securing non-threaded parts, like sealed bearings and press-fit bottom brackets to keep things in place, reducing chances of obnoxious squeaks on the ride. Notice: Park Tool recommends using AP-1 Adhesive Primer to prep all components, fasteners, and carbon fiber surfaces prior to application of Park Tool threadlockers or retaining compound. Failure to do so could result in permanently bonded parts.
