The GE WR17X11939 ice maker auger has a metal rod in the center & plastic rotator that is used to push the ice to the dispenser. It fits many brands, including GE, Hot Point and Kenmore.

Replacing an ice maker auger can look quite challenging, but with patience, you can get your ice maker up and running again. We recommend turning the ice maker off first, removing the ice bin, pouring out all the ice before starting the process.

Hint - Take a picture of of the top and bottom of the ice maker assembly so that it's easier to see where all of the screws and parts belong.
