XLR Airbus VersionTHE NEW AIRMAN 8 HEADSETS build on the success of their predecessors with ultra-lightweight designs and strong stainless steel headbands that improve durability for long headset life. The soft headband pads provide enhanced comfort, while an added yoke allows ear cup movement in all directions. An updated microphone boom design provides stronger rotation stops—utilizing the entire diameter of the ear cup. Other new features include the pre-coiled overhead cord which extends the life of the headset and the main cord that is more robust with an improved design of band relief on the ear cup entrance. Each headset comes with replaceable ear cup covers and leatherette ear cushions.These Airman headsets also feature high-quality amplified electret microphones for clear voice transmission. The Airman 8 headset in particular boasts enhanced ANR with even more noise reduction, improving intelligibility and reducing fatigue. The position of the ANR switch has moved to the forward-facing ear cup side—making it easier to reach the switch without having to remove the headset. Another unique feature of the Airman 8 is that it is powered from its microphone system, eliminating the need for batteries or special connectors.This Headset comes with leatherette ear cushions.
