The working principle of the gas pressure gauge
The CAMPLUX gauge works by measuring the pressure in the tank- the higher the pressure, the fuller it is- and the gauge is calibrated accordingly.This may not be accurate due to temperature changes, but it gives a rough estimate about the remaining fuel. The dial will tell you whether you are red (empty), yellow (low) or green (enough).

How does gas pressure gauge show a leak?
If you close the tank, and the pressure decreases over time (taking temperature into account), the needle slowly drops toward the red ,you just might have a leak.
