This Dernord hex nipple is a stainless steel 304 pipe fitting with male National Pipe Taper (NPT) threads on both ends for joining two pipes or extending pipe length. It has NPT threads for creating tighter seals than straight thread. The hexagonal shape allows for increased leverage during installation and disassembly with a wrench.
