LaPointe - June 2, 1969 This model is made of diecast metal and is heavy and fragile. It is definitely not a toy. It is made for display. The model comes already assembled and painted. What is shown in the photos is the way it comes out of the box. Some MINOR ASSEMBLY is needed to attached the rotor blades to the rotor. No glue is needed but patience and care is required to no damage the pieces. Both rotor can rotate freely. A display stand is included, The stand is made entirely of metal, it is very sturdy and it is held together by a nut/screw assembly. The maker of the model really did a good job with the model, the panel lines and details are very crisp and one can see the little dots that represent the rivets holding down the panels. This is really a "no-play" model or a "display-only" model. It is mostly metal and very heavy. It also has a number of antennas which look great but are very fragile. The box is labeled as not suitable for children under 14. The box measures 13 inches by 6 inches by 4 inches.
