The Coastal West edition runs from California to Washington. Each of the three notebooks have a different portion of coast. The coast lines have been stamped and embossed in two bright bright holographic foils. The "ocean" reticle pattern on the cover is repeated on the interior pages of the notebooks, some in blue and some in green. Most are somewhere in between. The Field Notes Coastal notebooks are 3-1/2" × 5-1/2" with 3/8" rounded corners. Each notebook has 48 pages.
