Help your child expand his knowledge of the formation of words by using Blend Practice Cards B. Each card combines a blend of two or three consonants from Phonics Charts 6-8 with a short vowel sound on one side of the card and a long vowel sound on the other side of the card. At the bottom of each card are two clue words for the parent to use that incorporate the blend on the opposite side of the card. Use the blend practice cards to build your child's reading speed and to spur him to think of his own words incorporating the blend.
