The Patient Aid PA-450 4 handled patient turning, transferring and positioning aid is designed to reduce the effort required to move, turn or transfer a patient. When used properly, the PA-450 eases a multitude of patient mobilization procedures including: repositioning a patient up in bed, turning of patients, moving or laterally transferring patient. Using ergonomically inclined handles for gripping, caregivers can maneuver patients to the desired position without having to lift, which can cause injury to arms, back, and related muscles. The PA-450 padded transfer sheet allows the patient to be positioned or moved in any direction easily while reducing the shearing to the patient's skin. When using the PA-450 for the first time it is recommended that the caregivers practice until they are comfortable using it properly and safely. The log roll technique is the preferred method of getting the PA-450 under the patient. The Patient Aid 4 Handled Patient Turner and Positioning Sheet is constructed of a padded nylon fabric that forms a soft yet supportive surface which protects patients with sensitive skin or other injuries. It can be applied or removed very easily by placing it under the patient while they are laying down. It is constructed with 4 heavy duty reinforced nylon straps and is machine washable.
