Improve Interior Airflow and Breathe Clean Air
Until recently, many people didn't even realize that their cars had cabin air filters, let alone how often these filters should be replaced. For normal driving conditions, most manufacturers recommend changing the cabin air filter every 15,000-30,000 miles.
However, most drivers should recognize that they don't drive in what is considered "normal" conditions. Most live in regions that experience seasonal changes in climate, which bring changes in air quality, added dust, debris, bugs, and pollutants in the air. For anyone driving a vehicle in these areas, it is widely recommended that the cabin air filter be changed with the seasons on a bi-annual basis: once in the Spring and once in the Fall. Doing so will ensure that you and your passengers are breathing the cleanest air possible and also help to keep your car's climate control system functioning properly.
Luckily, most cabin air filters are very inexpensive and easy to change; requiring no tools and less than 10 minutes of your time.
