Optimize Your Engine Performance
Your car's engine needs a healthy combination of air and fuel to run and your air filter plays a vital role in ensuring that it gets the air that it needs to run properly. A clogged engine air filter will restrict the flow of air to the engine and could result in symptoms such as decreased throttle response, poor fuel economy, increased emissions, and in severe cases - expensive damage to components such as the mass airflow sensor. A clean air filter is all that's stopping dust, dirt, and other road debris from entering the mix.
Not to worry though - In most cases, the engine air filter is easy to replace and usually inexpensive. It is recommended that this filter be replaced every 12 months or 12,000 miles for optimal performance. If you're unsure of what the recommended change interval is for your vehicle, we recommend consulting your vehicle owner's manual.
