What are some of the smoke filter mask design improvements?

Why this dust mask with filter add two exhalation valves?
The exhalation valve design increases air flow and removes exhaled air from our smoke of mask, reducing condensation that causes fogging of glasses. (Exhalation valve can be disassembled when cleaning.)

Can I use a filter without this mask air pollution?
Middle layer of the masks is comprised of a patent pending anti-virus fabric.
It is not necessary to wear a filter for daily use. It is recommended to use filters and our anti-pollution mask based on environmental conditions and wearer needs.

What is the difference between N99 and N95 filters?
The N99 filter has two more layers of protection with reduced air permeability.
