How to Consume Goji Berries
- Eat them raw. A small handful a day will do.
- Add them to a trail mix. Replace the dried fruit in your trail mix with dried goji berries. Add them to homemade granola bars or oatmeal, or use them to top dairy products such as yogurt or frozen yogurt.
- Juice the goji berries. Blend goji berries into a smoothie or use a juicer to liquidate the berries. Drink the juice on its own or mix it with other fruits for a nutrient-rich beverage.
- Mix them with your baked goods. Like blueberry muffins, use dried goji berries to make goji berry muffins. Add them to your baked bread and scones or use them as a cupcake topping.
- Plump up your goji berries. Put your goji berries in a saucepan and boil them for 5 to 10 minutes, then drain them. Your goji berries will be bigger and tender-you can then add them to soups or other soft foods.
- Add a handful of goji berries to a big glass of hot water and let sit and hydrate for 5 to 10 minutes.
- Just like raisins, add some goji berries to your hot or cold cereals in the morning.
- Add to Soups - this has been a common use of goji berries in Chinese cuisine for thousands of years
