All you need to do is own one physical game of the system you want to play off the SD card; just one cartridge will let you play all the games from that console. One physical cartridge for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES), will allow you to play all the games on the SD card for the NES. The same rules apply for every other console.
Game Boy - 507 games - Has four different folders for North America, Japanese, European, and 'Others' games.
Game Boy Color - 448 games - Has four different folders for North American, Japanese, European, and 'Others' games.
Game Boy Advance - 1,017 games - Only works with Game Boy Advance cartridges. (North America games only)
Famicom - 1,061 games - Japanese 'NES' games. Works with NES or Famicom cartridge.
NES (Nintendo Entertainment System) - 690 games - Works with NES or Famicom cartridge. Has five different folders for Classic NES, North American, Hacked, European, and 'Others' games.
SNES - 755 games - Works with SNES and Super Famicom cartridges. Has three different folders for Clasic SNES, North American and European games.
Super Famicom - 1,449 games - Japanese 'SNES' games. Same rules as SNES.
Game Gear - 258 games - Needs the Retron 3-in-1 adapter to play. Has three different folders for North American, Japanese, and European games.
Genesis / Mega Drive - 733 games - Works with Genesis / Mega Drive cartridges. Has two different folders for North American games, and European games.
Master System - 115 games - Needs the Retron 3-in-1 adapter to play. Has four different folders for North American, Japanese, European, and 'Others' games.
SG-1000 - 165 games - Needs the 3-in-1 Retron adapter.
