The (3V) 24 Valve Triton motors for Ford commonly produce distinctive rattling noises due to wear, most noise are normal but excessive ones calls for an inspection. The camshaft phasers and solenoid may fail and it can lead to poor fuel economy, a check engine light (CEL), and rough running conditions on your F-150, Expedition, or other Ford vehicle.
