darkFlash Shadow CPU air Cooler  feature 14 individually addressable RGB LEDs that can be digitally controlled via your motherboard through 5V ADD-RGB Header. No additional controller is needed.
For the motherboard without 5V ADD-HEARDE: Please plug the 4 Pin connector of the CPU air cooler into the 12V RGB-HEARDER ONLY. It will has a fixed mode with RGB lighting effect. 
For the motherboard with 5V ADD-HEARDE: Please plug the 4 Pin connector of the CPU air cooler into the 12V RGB-HEARDER and plug the 3 Pin into the 5V ADD-HEARDE.  Which will allow you to change the color as you like via motherboard.
Also, They can synchronize with other ADD-RGB devices, Such as MR12 controller. Please plug the 4 Pin connector of the CPU air cooler into the 12V RGB-HEARDER and plug the 3 Pin into the MR12 controller. 

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please connect the CPU Air Cooler with 12V 4 pin Connector on the motherboard. You may short circuit your motherboard if you connect to other ports
