Our brand (Algicate+) of Calcium Alginate wound dressings are a solution to traditional bandages. Traditional dressing do very little to treat the wound and keep it sealed from outside bacteria. Our highly flexible, sterile wound dressing are constructed with natural alginate fibers and then infused with calcium ions to create a healthy biological environment for optimal healing and wound drainage. After the dressing makes contact with blood or fluids, the gel then creates a seal over the wound to protect it from bacteria. These fast-gelling dressings are incredibly soft so as not to damage delicate tissue surrounding the wound. Algicate + dressings are suitable for use under compression bandages.
