This product is susceptible to warm temperatures, it can melt in transit if subjected to warm temperatures. It is still usable, but may not arrive in original shape. Wilton Candy Melts are freshest if used within 18 months of their manufacture date. There is a stamped manufacture date code on the product packaging that is five digits - for example 17114. The first two numbers are the year (2017) of manufacture and the last three digits are the Julian date (114th day of the year - April 24). The product is freshest within 18 months of this date. If the items you have are out of their freshness range they are not harmful if consumed, but they may not perform as a fresh batch would.
