This is a fine quality example of one of the most famous of all German awards- the 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class. The award features the W at the centre, which was added in the late 1800s for Wilhelm I and was kept for the 1914 issue under Wilhelm II. Below this is the date 1914 with the crown at the top of the medal. This version of the award has a pin back for fitting and has an antiqued silver finish, making this an impressive reproduction.
