What Is The Dog Hock Joint Brace Used For?
The Dog Braces for Back Leg Support provide gentle, but effective compression support for your dog's rear hock joint, without compromising mobility. The hock joint is different than the knee (we've included a diagram in the product photo section to show you the difference). Each rear hind leg brace has four velcro straps for adjustable support. Each brace has one strap that is reflective in order to provide extra safety if your pup is outside at night! Your dog can benefit from rear hock support if he/she has the following conditions:
Back Leg Torn ACL
Arthritis
Injury to the hock area
The Rear Hind Leg Brace should NOT be used for:
Knee injuries
Will it Fit My Dog?
Great question! We have visual measuring instructions in the product photo section, so be sure to measure your dog before ordering. That said, this is a MEDIUM dog back leg brace pair. Refer to the size chart in the images section to determine if it's the right size for your dog.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Remove the brace every 2-3 hours (this allows the leg to breathe)
Do not keep the rear hind leg brace on overnight
If your dog's skin becomes irritated at any point, STOP using the brace
When in doubt about sizing, go UP a size. If the brace doesn't fit once you receive it, just shoot us an email and we'll make it right!
