Tofu Pressing Instructions
- Start with Firm or Extra Firm Tofu (not for Silken Tofu)
- Ensure that your press in unscrewed enough to insert your tofu block
- Place your tofu block between the two boards in the center of the press, then put tofu press on plate to catch the tofu water
- Tighten knobs until they evenly reach the top of tofu block with a moderate amount of resistance and water starts to squeeze out
- Stand tofu press on its side to accelerate water removal
- Tighten knobs approximately every 3 minutes for 6-15 minutes until desired thickness and dryness is achieved
- When pressing process is complete, unscrew knobs, lift top plate up and slide tofu from the press
- Prepare as desired and enjoy!
