Did you know that Oxybenzone, Butylparaben, Octinoxate 4-Methylben- zylidene, and Camphor have all be shown to cause complete coral bleaching, even at extremely low concentrations? In addition, many products state they are "reef safe" but still contain oxybenzone. Mama Kuleana eliminates those harmful ingredients and only uses all natural ingredients safe for you and the reefs! Even the cardboard 2 ounce container and the label are biodegradable! We use no plastics, ever! This is another step in the KULEANA process: taking responsibility for the planet by not creating garbage that cannot biodegrade. So, yes, we know, the cardboard container can look messy after a while and you may have to stir the sunscreen since you aren't squeezing it out of a plastic container.....we feel it's a small price to pay as we eliminate plastic near our oceans!
