The L1 R1 button only fit for the first generation PS4 controller (Motherboard Model: JDM 001, 011, 020, 021).Â

There is a tip here might be helpful in case you don't have the tools: The 2nd generation controllers come with a very thin lightbar on top of the touchpad and most of the 1st generation controllers don't.Â
