Oud has been enjoyed in the eastern part of the world for thousands of years, but has only recently gained popularity as western travelers to the east have fallen in love with this mysterious, addictive scent.

Oud is found only in the agarwood (also known as gaharu, aloeswood and aquilaria) trees in Southeast Asia. When the tree is injured or infected with a certain bacteria, a protective resin forms around it within the tree; this resin is Oud.

A large tree might have no more than a few inches of Oud. Ancient Oud is worth more than gold, and hard to find at any price. That's why we import our sticks from one reputable, sustainable plantation...just one...so sometimes we run out.
