The deeper tunnels are visible via a series of 4” to 12” high conical mounds of dirt formed as moles push dirt to the surface constructing the tunnel. Using a device such as a shovel or broom handle create a small hole every 6’- 8’ in each active tunnel. Take care not to crush the identified tunnel and place 1-ounce of MoleX pellets fully into the tunnel. Cover hole with something like a rock, board or small piece of turf ensuring the odor of MoleX thoroughly reaches moles underground.
