Emerging in the DC Universe in 1941, Arthur Curry, aka Aquaman, was cast out of Atlantis as a baby. He grew up on land thinking of himself as human, but as he matured, Atlantis came for him, designating Arthur as their king. Always navigating life between land and the sea, Aquaman possesses powers that serve him in both realms. Armed with superhuman strength, impenetrable skin and the ability to telepathically communicate with all sea life, he can also breath underwater, and swim at high speeds. He is dedicated to protecting the whole of the globe but with Atlantis constantly on the brink of revolt against man’s havoc on the sea, this reluctant king struggles with his place in the world. To sport Aquaman is to discover what it is to operate within the spectacular depths and stunning heights of time.
