What Is The 3-piece Airlocks? 
①Our 3-piece airlocks are made up of silicone grommet & the cup-shaped piece & airlock body & top cap 
② The purpose of the airlock kit is to allow the CO2 out but not allow anything into the airlock.  
The 3 piece airlocks keep mold and bacteria out.Airlocks are to create a air free seal within the mason jar 
 
 Notice: You can also use vodka in the airlock instead of water to limit bacterial growth

How do you use the three-piece airlock for fermentation?
â’¶ Remove the cap, then full the half of the air lock with the water or vodka
â’· Put the cap back on and insert the tip of the airlock with silicone grommet into the mason jar lid, bucket lid, carboy lid, etc. Make sure there is a tight seal
â’¸ Gasses are released during the fermentation process. You will see bubbles forming and escaping through the water in the airlock
â’¹ Airlocks prevent oxygen from entering the ferments. Oxygen will ruin the fermentation process
â’º Every now and then, remove the airlock to "burp" the ferment, check on your progress and release pressure (this step may not be required depending on your project)
