Twenty years ago, rock 'n' roll superstar Eddie Wilson disappeared when his car plunged off a bridge. Trying to escape his past, Eddie changed his name to Joe West and moved to Montreal. However, the past will not die, Eddie's former record company releases newly discovered tapes from Eddie's last album and mounts an "Eddie Lives" campaign. Meanwhile, Joe West has become both mentor and nucleus for a new rock 'n' roll band that dreams of making it big without knowing their enigmatic leader is the real Eddie Wilson. In the poignant and dramatic climax, Eddie comes to terms with his past, himself and his music.
