Maybe you have changes several timing belts in Subaru engines without using a cam locking tool, working alone. It is possible to do, but very difficult! Too many things to do, not enough hands. It is really hard to get the belt everywhere it goes with all 4 cams in the right place. Then you finally get the belt on and one of the left cams has moved! Take the belt off and start over! Ugh! It is possible, but not a good time.

Now, our Camlock Tool make your timing belt change much easier. Can loosen one side at a time to adjust the cam marks without it freely spinning as it allows for a 19mm wrench to turn cam/hex magnet and then can lock it back down while holding 19mm wrench in place and snug down the end bolt with a 17mm socket.
