Product Review
***PLEASE READ PRIOR TO PURCHASE***
***FOLLOW THE STEPS IN PHOTO #3 TO MAKE SURE YOUR CHARGER IS COMPATIBLE***
***USB-C PD REQUIREMENTS***
Microsoft Surface Go: 30W PD (15V/2A) or 45W PD (15V/3A) (29W is ok ONLY if it supports 15V output)
Microsoft Surface Pro 3/4/5/6: 45W PD (15V/3A) or greater
Microsoft Surface Laptop: 45W PD (15V/3A) or greater
Microsoft Surface Book 1/2: 45W PD (15V/3A) or greater
CHARGERS UNDER 29W (i.e. 18W, 24W, etc) WILL NOT WORK. If your USB-C charger came with your phone or iPad, IT WILL NOT WORK.
MOST APPLE USB-C CHARGERS WILL NOT WORK BECAUSE MOST MODELS DO NOT SUPPORT 15V OUTPUT
As a reference, check your original charger's power output. If your original Surface charger is 36W or 44W, then you will need a 45W PD (15V/3A) power source.
You may experience insufficient power if your USB-C power source is not equal to or greater than your original charger.
Want to charge your Microsoft Surface on-the-go? This cable converts the proprietary Microsoft Surface Connect port used for charging to USB-C power delivery. Perfect for charging your Surface with a powerbank or USB C wall charger (see requirements below).
