GUIDE TO CHOOSING AN INFLATABLE WEDGE PILLOW
If you use a wedge pillow at home you already know how invaluable they are for a good night's sleep. But what happens when you travel or have to sleep away from home? Good wedge pillows are too heavy and bulky to take with you, and it isn't possible to achieve the same comfort with standard pillows.
That's where an inflatable wedge pillow is so useful.
But choose one carefully. A good quality pillow must be:
LARGE ENOUGH 22 inches wide is the minimum or you will slide off during the night. 24 inches is the ideal size.
EASY TO INFLATE Avoid the cheap clear pinch valves you will find on most pillows. They will be hard to inflate and slow to deflate. And if the pillow is hard to setup and take down you probably won't want to use it.
QUIET Some cheap pillows make a plasticy noise every time you move at night - like sleeping on a plastic pool float toy! Instead choose a higher quality pillow with a plush surface which will stay quiet at night.
QUALITY CONSTRUCTION Again - avoid the cheap pillows as you may find they deflate on you during the night.
HOT TIP Don't assume you need to fully inflate the pillow - try it partially deflated or slightly soft. Experiment to get the most comfortable position.
