This rain fly hammock and tent tarp is a must for every true adventurer, as it comes with a sturdy construction, provides waterproof protection and is easy to install within minutes! We use 100% polyester fabrics on the BYOND tarps and tents. They cost more than similar nylon fabrics so we better have a SUPER GOOD reason to use them. 

1. It makes the tarp almost completely sag proof - , it absorbs water and expands 3.5% in length.Polyester is unchanged for all practical purposes.
2. Polyester absorbs less water, it dries faster AND, of course, it weighs less when it's wet.
3. Polyester absorbs just a few tenths of a percent water and doesn't seem to grow or shrink at all.
