We have chosen medium-density fibreboard (MDF)to make our CountryClocks as wood has distinct disadvantages, including susceptibility to moisture and warping. Items made of MDF retain their shape and size when they are hot or cool, wet or dry. Wood, on the other hand, swells and shrinks as the humidity changes.
