"This is just what I've been looking for! Thx for reading my mind and making it so easy :)" CAMP BEN DIY Beeswax Rosin Bar - Yes, you can make your own nonplastic eco-friendly green wrappers. This is the ideal "Do It Yourself" bar! This 3 oz bar makes 5-10 wraps depending on size. Want that honey wonderful smell? We've got it in this bar! No weird brown or green beeswax. We've made our CAMP BEN bar with the very best of USA beeswax and rosin.
Adult use only! PINE RESIN (ROSIN) ADDED - The natural stick factor! Be aware that rosin is quite sticky so protect the area that you're creating the natural food wrap with parchment paper. To melt the bar, use a metal bowl and saucepan to create a double boiler. A double boiler is made from putting water in a saucepan and eating on a LOW temperature (Low temps only!!) and then putting the bar in the metal bowl on top of the pan. Do not use any nice kitchen items, rosin is sticky. It's simple to do but does require some preparation to protect your stove. Low burner temperature to melt the rosin/beeswax bar. It does take a bit of time to melt. You'll start stirring with a spoon that you can toss when you're finished to save if you want to use it again. It will be sticky so you won't be able to use it for regular use again. DO NOT MICROWAVE CAMP BEN BEESWAX ROSIN BAR! It's only for a double boiler on stovetop. Once melted it will be a liquid. Once melted all the way, use an OLD cookie sheet protected by foil. Place the cut cloth that you want to use on the cookie sheet, brush lightly covering all the cloth. If the wax doesn't look smooth on the cloth, place the cloth in an oven at 170 degrees (any hotter and you'll burn your cloth.)
Let it melt for 5 minutes and rebrush, smoothing the wax. Simple! Hang your cloth to dry, it'll be slightly tacky to touch. Let dry completely until not tacky to the touch. Beeswax food wraps are ready to use...and reuse...and reuse! To clean, wash in cold water only.
