* 3 cups of African Violet Plant Potting Soil Mix * Custom blend soil from Baby Violets prepared in Maryland, USA. * Custom blend contains 50% peat moss & 50% perlite. * This high perlite peat-based soil mix is ideal for water sensitive plants and low light growing conditions. * The perlite (super coarse), provides extra drainage and is chemically inert and sterile. * There are no extra additives to this potting mix, no fertilizers, just peat moss and perlite.* *To use this mix, make sure to wet the soil completely, mix 1 cup soil with 2 cups water and blend with fingers and mix till soil is no longer dry and is moist. Then use the soil to re-pot your plant. * Do not re-pot the plant with dry soil, first moisten the soil mix in a separate container/tray and then use moist soil to re-pot the plant.
- 3 Cups / 1 quart of African Violet Plant Potting Soil Mix. Soil is packed in a resealable clear poly zip bag. Soil can be stored in the bag as long as its kept dry.
- Custom hand blended soil prepared in Maryland, USA from Baby Violets.
- Potting soil can be used for African Violets and Streptocarpus plants.
- 1 quart / 3 cup bag - can fill 15 (2" pots) or 9 (3" pots) or 4 (4" pots). Please note, this is an estimate and the amount may vary slightly, based upon plant stem size and root size.
- Soil contains 50% peat moss & 50% perlite. There are no extra additives to this potting mix and no fertilizers. The perlite (super coarse), provides extra drainage and is chemically inert and sterile. This is a lightweight, airy soil mix. Not dense, compressed or compacted.
- To use this mix, make sure to wet the soil completely, mix 1 cup soil with 2 cups water, add water slowly, 1/2 cup at a time, blend with fingers, mix till soil is no longer dry and is moist. Can leave soil + water mix overnight to make sure all the water is absorbed and the soil is moistened properly.* Do not re-pot the plant with dry soil, first moisten the soil mix in a separate container/tray and then use moist soil to re-pot the plant.
