There are lots of games that you can play with parachutes - if you look online you'll find plenty of ideas. For example, you could shake the parachute with balls and then see how quickly you can keep them all on (or down the hole in the middle), or play a version of tag where you call out two names and the children have to swap places by running around (or under) the parachute.

While solving the problem, students learn about the importance of teamwork, problem solving, patience, communication, and cooperation. They must work together to move a single ball or several balls around the holes in the tarp. In the process, students discover that patience is important because rushing makes the ball more likely to fall off the edge, down a hole.

The aim of the challenge is for the ball to travel around the tarp for the longest time possible without falling through the holes or coming off the tarp. Participants are provided with a tarp which they have to hold with both hands, creating a table top effect. If the ball falls off the tarpaulin or through a hole, the team must restart the challenge.

  • Team Building Challenge : Thrill your team with this engaging challenge that involves maneuvering a ball around a tarpaulin. The objective is to prevent the ball from falling through holes or off the tarp completely.
  • Cooperative Gameplay : Foster cooperation among your group as they collaborate to guide the ball around various holes. The goal is to keep the ball on the tarp, creating an exciting and engaging challenge.
  • Emphasis on Communication : This activity places a strong emphasis on communication. Participants must coordinate their efforts to lift or lower the tarp and guide the balls effectively. A rope cord along the edges provides a helpful lip to keep the balls on the tarp and ensures a good grip.
  • Self-Evaluation & Growth : Encourage students to reflect both individually and collaboratively, enhancing their communication, cooperation, and problem-solving skills. This exercise promotes adaptability through constructive feedback, cultivating the ability to assess performance and refine strategies.
  • Versatile Group Activity : Suitable for participants of all ages, this activity accommodates up to 25 students at once. Set includes hole tarp (85''L x 57''W), 8 balls (1.6" dia), a storage bag.
