2pcs 6677 Timing Chain Retainer tools Similar to EN-48749
The relationship of the timing chain to the lower sprocket must be maintained when servicing the
upper sprockets, camshafts, valve springs, or valve seals.
If the chain to lower sprocket is not retained, the front cover must be removed, and the engine
completely re-timed.
EN-48749 has two toothed feet, which engage into the chain to hold it against the guides, and
retains this tension as the tensioner and upper guide bolt are removed.
When EN-48749 is installed, all upper head components may be serviced. The head may also
possibly be able to be replaced with EN-48749 in place
