The medallion calathea has gorgeous, round foliage & a purple underbelly. Part of the calathea family, They are often called "prayer plants" Because their circadian rhythm prompts them to raise & lower their leaves from day to night (called nyctinasty).
- Calathea roseopicta, known as the ‘medallion’ has large, oval shaped foliage with distinctive pink and white feather-shaped variegation on its emerald Green leaves. The underside of each leaf exhibits a deep, rich burgundy hue.
