The reptile heater mat is slightly waterproof, do not immerse it in water or long-term in high-temperature environment, so as not to cause electrical short-circuit and burn hazards.

As a safety precaution it is best to provide some space for air movement. Or put it inside tank with a layer sand/bark pieces to avoid direct touch and heat dissipation.
Highly recommend using this product with a thermostat.And please set the temperature probe closest to the heating pad.
