Studies show that kids are exposed to 3 times more UV rays than adults - protecting their young eyes at an early age can help prevent onset of cataracts, macular degeneration and several other diseases that can cause vision loss later in life. As an optometrist, I see the effects that prolonged sun exposure has on the eyes on a daily basis. Having three children ourselves, this was part of the inspiration for the creation of Cherubs kids eyewear- to offer a quality, stylish product at an affordable price, while giving back to help with eye care needs of children in other countries.
