Introduction of NPT:
National pipe sometimes referred to as pipe thread because PVC pipe and schedule 40 pipe are typically threaded in NPT.
This is a tapered thread, so that the outside diameter of the NPT male gets smaller at the end of the part, and the inside diameter of the GHT female narrows with depth.
As the 2 fittings are threaded together, the opposite tapers force thread friction and makes the seal without the use of a gasket.

Using:
The brass garden hose fitting is a 3/4 inch GHT female to 3/4 inch NPT male adapter, also can be regarded as connector, which is suitable for connecting pipes, hoses, or fittings with different end types and diameters.

No leakage:
These rubber faucet washers are designed with 4 small outer tabs to fix them in place firmly and properly, preventing washers from falling out of the hose fittings, do not interfere with the functionality of hose washer.
