This food safe silicone mold contains 7 different sizes of cogs. The teeth from many of the different cogs interlock, enabling you to create amazingly detailed continuous patterns of cogs all over your projects in every direction. Each cog also has a rusty style finish which will help give the appearance of them being old and used.

The detail in the mold can be brought out further by adding a little gilding wax or by using the dry brush technique to the finished casts. The cogs will work really well on industrial, masculine or even steampunk themed projects, whether they be mixed media or cake decorating projects.. Use with Sugarpaste, fondants, modelling chocolate, air drying or polymer clays.

All Katy Sue molds are made in their factory in the UK and are made with FDA compliant food grade silicone. Molds can be used with: sugar paste, flower paste, modelling paste, marzipan, chocolate, candy, boiled sugar, cold porcelain, salt dough, air drying clay, polymer clay and embossing powder.

How to Use with Fondant or Sugarpaste: Wash and dry molds well before use and lightly dust with corn flour to ease release. Keeping mold on a flat firm surface, push in a smooth ball of paste. Press paste evenly and firmly into mold without overfilling.

Use a rolling pin and apply even pressure to ensure all areas are full and the base is flat. Scrape away any excess paste then push paste away from the edges so that you get a clean release. Turn over mold and release paste embellishment gently onto a clean surface.
