2016 2017 2018 model year FORD vehicle Not available on FORD MUSTANG, FOCUS and 2016 model year TRANSIT
2. SYNC 3 multimedia system & Version 2.2 above Available on 2017 2018 models with SYNC3
Owners of 2016 models with SYNC2 are required to perform a software upgrade or purchase a hardware upgrade to make sure your multimedia system is SYNC 3
Need to update to VERSION 2.2 above which can be found on the Ford Owner website.
※You can distinguish between SYNC3 and SYNC2 by the listing pictures above.
3. Use Apple approved cable
Connect your Apple iPhone to your USB port using an Apple-approved Lightning-to-USB cable.
4. iOS system Apple carplay is compatible with apple iphone 5 or newer running ios 7.1 or higher (updating to the latest version of ios is recommended)
