The applicants are asked up to 10 questions randomly selected out of 100 questions covering the above areas by the USCIS. While there may be more than one correct answer to many of the 100 questions, it is not a multiple choice test .

It is an oral test conducted during the naturalization application interview. In order to pass the CIVICS segment of the test, the applicant should answer at least six (6) questions out of the 10 correctly.
