Spring has finally delivered us from the rainy, gray days of winter in Blackwood Bay, but that’s not the only reason I’ve got an extra pep in my step. An unexpected issue at Harper’s house means I have a special houseguest, and the idea of making it a permanent arrangement is all I have on my mind.
That is, until an unexpected visitor arrives with a possible clue to solving a gruesome murder that rocked Blackwood Bay nearly thirty years ago. Now, not only am I trying to decide if my relationship is ready for the next step, but I’m helping Harper solve a cold case, trying to keep Maui from offing Harper’s lazy old bulldog, and wrangling Granny who’s recently started haunting her friends for sport.

As we dig into the case, it quickly becomes obvious that everyone involved has a secret. And sometimes the worst monsters hide in plain sight.
