This DVD was created for the Arthritis Foundation by yoga therapist Shoosh Lettick Crotzer, who has been teaching yoga for more than 36 years, and physical therapists. It is a state-of-the-art, easy-to-use yoga-based program and it includes breathing techniques, stretches, strengthening exercises, an aerobic section, and a total body relaxation. All five participants on this tape have various types of arthritis (one also has MS, one has fibromyalgia), work at different levels, and range in age from 35 to 72. Those with a variety of types of arthritis and related conditions, including osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis, plus those with fibromyalgia, MS, or seniors who want a basic gentle exercise routine can benefit from this tape. It is widely used throughout the country and is recommended by rheumatologists. It shows one person seated (except for a 5-minute standing section where he is holding onto a chair) making it also an excellent, basic exercise program for anyone in a wheelchair, or for those who need or simply prefer to exercise while seated. It is a good companion to the book Yoga for Fibromyalgia: Move, Breathe & Relax to Improve Your Quality of Life by Shoosh Lettick Crotzer. This DVD also includes a Spanish version.
