Semi-translucent underglazes fire true to color as applied from the jar and may be intermixed to create a palette of hundreds of colors. Left unglazed they have the appearance of velour or velvet. They assume a soft, satin matte finish when glazed with Amaco Transparent Matt Glaze (LM-10) and will intensify in color when covered with Amaco Clear Transparent Gloss Glaze (LG-10). Fire at cone 05-06. Lead-free, AP certified non-toxic. AMACO Velvets have only been tested and approved as dinnerware safe when applied and fired under AMACO LG-10 Clear Glaze.
