Aquilegia Crimson Star is covered in bright, crimson-red flowers fronted by white corollas and a tuft of yellow stamens, they explode into color in late spring. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Although the plants will perform admirably if left on their own, you can extend your season by cutting plants back to the basal foliage after they're done blooming. You'll probably get a second flush of growth followed by another crop of flowers.
